Got a Street Kinda Thing Goin’ On: Christina Kim Davis

Christina Kim Davis is a dancer, choreographer, model, influencer, and aspiring designer/stylist based in Los Angeles, CA; originally from Philadelphia, PA, she packed her bags and drove herself to L.A. after finishing college to pursue her lifelong dream of becoming a professional dancer; living in her car for weeks, she relentlessly bounced from one audition to another, until she found herself auditioning in front of her childhood idol, the dancer, choreographer and director Fatima Robison (choreographer for Aaliyah, Michael Jackson and Mary J. Blige, among others), who instantly fell in love with her and booked her as a touring dancer for Meghan Trainor; ever the fireball, Christina continued going to auditions while on tour, and eventually landed coveted jobs with high-wattage artists like Cardi B., Drake, DaniLeigh, Iggy Azalea, Rita Ora, Pharrell Williams, and many more; her steadfast dedication to constantly push herself to the next level and her unwavering loyalty to her craft helped her to extend her reach beyond tours and music videos, and she soon found herself appearing in commercials, award shows (BET Awards, Billboard Music Awards) and top-rated TV shows (The Today Show, The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Good Morning America, Jimmy Kimmel Live!, among others); along the way she was given the nickname “Butterfly” by people closest to her in the industry, something Christina embraced because “it truly represents my approach to my work—I am always ready to spread my wings and fly and be the best at every job that I take on;” living in L.A. has provided her with access to other creative revelations, and currently Christina is dabbling in fashion (a few moons ago she introduced a line of one-of-a-kind distressed, bleached, and hand-painted clothing called B.FLY, and she is thinking of reviving that project), styling and modelling (she recently appeared in a couple of Boohoo’s social media campaigns); but her ultimate goal is “to open my own dance school one day—I want to help young dancers who come from where I’m from, and want to help make their dreams come true;” follow @christinakimdavis_ on Instagram for dance videos and streetwear content; to book Christina, contact BlocLa
